With America being given the leadership role from the Allied Forces Commander, Ferdinard Foch, the American Army was able to make a substantial amount of progress. With Germany being forced to retreat and having not enough time to do damage control and regain the fallen soldiers, the German forces surrendered from the. With an Armistice being made between Germany and the Allied Forces, other nations apart of the Central Powers quickly followed as well and claiming defeat. After Germany had lost to the Allied Forces, America and Germany made a peace agreement as well as other countries who were of the Allied Forces. Without America being able to defeat and push back Germany in the Meuse-Agnone offensive, the Great War would have most likely continued (Caitlin Foster, n.d).
